In response to an earthquake incident, A group of designers and engineers gathered to find a solution and help victims of an incident. And they successfully managed to finalize a shelter to support people who have lost their residents in the earthquake for at least three months. The project was urgent, and the approach was to finish it as soon as possible, so needless to say, the team could only apply a few priorities of a usual design project.
By choosing the best ideas in terms of feasibility, the team was able to answer the design challenge. However, the research continued almost to the last parts of the project because of the everchanging situation.
The base frame, the insulator polymer sheet, and the fabric shell are the three main parts of the final product.
The team put together the plans and solved the minor problems to prepare the designed shelter for the prototyping phase.
The prototype took five days and a lot of elbow grease, and the team made it as close to the final product as possible. The prototype was tested using military standards to ensure it met all the heavy-duty measures and could last for the set period.
